Financial analysis and reporting requires understanding of financial data while using it to support decision making.
Through my academic experience and internship with Haney CPA, PLLC, I have developed my ability to analyze financial information and apply accounting principles in real-world situations. I gained experience working with financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and supporting general accounting processes.
This competency is important to my career goals because accounting requires strong analytical skills and attention to details. Especially as I work towards earning my CPA.
Communication and Teamwork
Communication and Teamwork means collaborating efficiently while conveying information clearly in professional manner.
Through my internship and my background as a collegiate athlete I have developed the ability to communicate clearly, as well as contributing to team goals in both structured and fast paced environments.
This competency supports my career goals by helping me work effectively in team based environments and communicate financial information clearly.
Coachability and Continuous Improvement
Coachability and continuous improvement involve being open to feed back while making adjustments to improve performance. Through my experience as a collegiate athlete, I have been able to develop this skill through film study and performance review. This is were I evaluated my performance and applied coaching feedback to improve. My experience as a collegiate athlete helped shape my approach to feed back and continuous improvement, which I now apply in both academic and professional settings.
